100-YEAR-OLD PRISONER.
18 DEAD AT DANNEMORA. Word has been received of thd death at the Dannemora State Hospital, U.S.A., of Joseph Baccaro, 100 years old, said to have been the oldest prisoner in the United States, both in point of age and time served. Baccaro was sentenced to Sing Sing Prison in 1874 for murder and never had enjoyed his freedom since.
Jesse Pomeroy, serving his fiftyfirst year in prison at Charlestown, Mass., is believed to he the oldest living convict in point of years served.
