SHEARERS' COMPLAINT.
APPEAL TO THE MINISTER. ttISAffITARY ACCOMMODATION. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Saturday. A deputation from the New Zealand Workers' Union waited on the Hon. G. J. Anderson, Minister of Labour, and made specific complaints in regard to alleged breaches of awards in the matter of the sanitary oonditions of shearers' accommodation and sleeping quarters. The Minister said an honest attempt had been made to put things right. b\it he would see that further inspections were made. There were many settlers who were ip against it, but in every instance where they were In a position lo make improvements they would be compelled to aot. Prosecutions would be made wherever he thought that course justified.
