t , Mr F. A. de la Mare returned from Wellington this morning. Mr S. Mendelsohn (London) is at the Hamilton Hotel. The organiser of the Reform Party, Mr A. E. Davy, has resigned. Mr W. Goodfellow, who had been in Wellington, passed through to Auckland this morning. Mr Waugh, secretary to Hon. J. A. Young, Minister of Health, is at the Hamilton Hotel. Rev. Joseph W. Kemp, pastor of the Baptist Tabernacle, Auckland, is spending a week in Hamilton and will conduct a series of special meetings. Mr John Fuller left Auckland last night for Wellington. With members of his family, Mr Fuller will sail for London on Tuesday by the Rotorua. Rev. H. G. Gilbert returned this morning from Wellington, where he had been attending a meeting of the New Zealand Alliance. Mr H. Clark and Mr H. Cullough (Auckland) and Mr and Mrs Duckworth (New Plymouth) are among the guests at the Hamilton Hotel.

Messrs R. D. Duxfleld (Horotiu), R. Ranstead (Matangi), and A. W. Green returned this morning from the Palmerston Show.

Mr P. Hally, Conciliation Commissioner, who has been to Arapunl in connection with the recent strike, returned to Auckland this morning.

[Wanganui’s Crst Labour Mayor, Mr W. J. Rogers, and Mrs Rogers, were accorded a social function in order to celebrate Mr Rogers’ election to the mayoral chair. The gathering was promoted by members of the Wanganui branch of the Labour Party.

The Hon. J. A. Young, Minister of Health, arrived at Hamilton this morning from Wellington. He will visit Arapuni to-day and will address a meeting of electors at Hamilton on Monday evening.

The Rev. Father M. J. Furlong, priest-in-charge of the Roman Catholic parish of Devonport, will, in a few days, reach the 25th anniversary of his ordination as a priest. He has been priest of Devonport for over £0 years.
