LAPPED BY KNEELING CROWDS.

There was an extraordinary scene' in Stockwell Street, Glasgow, when a tram collided with the distiller's lorry bursting five barrels of whisky. The contents streamed on the roadn way and scores of men and women; rushed to fill bottles and cans. Others, kneeling, lapped the whisky up, while' many soaked and sucked their caps and handkerchiefs.
