OBITUARY.
ALLEN STONEHAM. (Argus and Sun.) (Received April 14, 1.30 p.m.) LONDON, April 13. The death is announced of Mr Allen Stoneham, who introduced electric railways into Victoria and West Australia. He founded a French resort at Le Touquet, from which he amassed a fortune. His property included Etaples, which he lent as an Australian base In war time. DR. C. F. STRANGE. Cabled advice has been received in Auckland of the death of Dr. Charles Frederick Strange, Hampstead, London, on March 4, at the age of 49. Dr. Strange was the third son of Mrs Strange, Ellcrslie, and the late Mr J. R. Strange, of Tc Aroha and Green Lane, lie was recently attached to the Chinese Missionary Society's hospital, llangchow, China.

The death occurred to-day of Mr A. E. Cowpcr, a well-known dentist, after a short illness.
