MENACE TO HEALTH.
DIRTY MILKING MACHINE.
DAIRY FARMER HEAVILY FINED
WELLINGTON, Wednesday
At the Upper Butt this morning, before Mr Salmon, S.M.. a dairy farmer, L. S.choles, for failing to clean a milking machine was fined £25, and, this being his second conviction, his licence to sell milk lo retailers is automatically cancelled.
The. inspector said he had made no attempt to improve matters.
The defence was made that, a manager was in charge during defendant's absence. To a statement that if his license was cancelled defendant would probably end in bankruptcy, the inspector said the. department would srant a fresh license to a capable manager, but not to Scholes, whose methods were a menace to the public health.
