COUNCIL AND HIGHWAYS BOARD. MEETING TO BE CALLED. This appeared lo be the correct course to pursue lo obtain relief. Officers of the Main Highways Board iniended inspecting roads in the No. 2 Main Highways District on or about November 23 and following days. His council wished lo call a meeting of representatives of No. 2 District Highway Council Itself, as it had failed lo have one called officially. Therefore the council would like lo have an expression of opinion as lo whether the Waipa representative could make it convenient to attend a meeting in Auckland during Royal Show week, preferably on Thursday, l n t'i inst. His council considered a meeting at the present juncture would be of general benefit to all concerned. If the above date would be convenient lo the majority the Waikato council would call a meeting and fix the hour and place. The Waipa Council decided to be represented at the conference.
