IMOTUMAOHO.
The Weather and Crops. The heavy downpour on Friday night and early on Saturday morning completely hampered Ihose who anticipated putting in their mangolds. The ground is thoroughly wet, and will require further working. One fanner, who has already drilled turnips, has had his seed well buried, and will require to do the work over again. Although ihc high country pastures have done well during the wet spell, I lie low-lying Hals have suffered, the ground becoming badly trampled by I lie stock, spoiling I lie grass, and so reducing the feed available for the cows.
I noticed that in spite of the weafti r Guy Fawkes Day was celebrated, and a very good display of rockets, etc., illuminated Moluinaoho on November 5.
