Ohaupo-Cambridge road: Have taken levels of some 25 chains of this road by McEldowney's and Weal's property re draining this section of road. Linn's road: Have gone into the matter re reason of sharp bend in formation at angle of road by drain by north boundaries of Walsh's and Kite's properties, and find that both formation and fences some 30 chains in length between Kite's and Walsh's properties are out of position; where Linn's road junctions with Kite's road is correct, but is a chain out of angle of road where it intersects drain, which means that Kite has 1% acres of roadway fenced in and roadway encroaches to the extent of li acres on Walsh's property. Have interviewed Messrs Kite and Walsh and think matters can be settled satisfactorily. This means that a small area will be required of Mr Frcyling to fix up altered alignment, which I think can be arranged for. As we are wanting to operate on this section of road as regards draining and gravelling it is essential we have matter fixed up right away.
