The executive conveyed congratulations to members on the result of the licensing poll, and was pleased to note ino position in Ihe Auckland Province had improved in Ihe combined issues of continuance and Stale purchase: and control by approximately IS,OOO votes. This, together with the record established by the Oiiinemuri electorate in carrying restoration after a period of 17 years nolicensc, was an 1 achievement that, must have a great bearing on the future licensing polls of New Zealand, especially in connection with no-license areas. The following officers were elected:—President, Mr p. Brodie; vicepresidents, Messrs .7. O. Griffin and K. J. Rennie; hon. secretary and treasurer, Air W. G. Waugh; executive committee, Messrs .1. G.
