RAILWAY SMASH.
TRAINS IN COLLISION. WONDERFUL ESCAPES. ONLY MINOR INJURIES SUSTAINED. (United Press Association.) BRISBANE, Sepl. 8. A mail train, which was proceeding from Rockhampton to Brisbane, collided with a stationary goods train at Palrnwoods early this morning. The passengers wore hurled in all directions, but no fatal injuries were occasioned. Several passengers suffered minor injuries. It is slated that the goods train was overlapping the points which (lie mail train was passing when il was travelling at full speed. Considerable damage was done lo rolling stock.
