DAIRY LABORATORY.
—.—.— NOT WHERE, BUT WHEN ? EARLY ATTENTION DESIRED. (Times Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. Sir Frank Death, when lie made his report to the Government, referred lo the proposal to erect ;i dairy laboratory and experimental slalion at Wallaceville, but added that it should he pul in a dairying district. To many people, however, the most important question is not where Ihe dairy laboratory shall be put, but when it will be put. The New Zealand Dairy Producers' Board, in its annual report, emphasises the need for Ihe instilution, and then goes on to say: “The visit of Sir Frank Heath, at the invitation of Ihe Governmenl, lo examine and report upon general seienlifie development in Now Zealand, .jusliCnbly suspended this movement. 11 is report having been presented and preliminary steps taken to establish the Central College and organisation suggested, it is hoped that early alienlion will be given to liic dairy laboratory and experimental factory.”
