A COMPLAINT.

(To the Editor/ Sir, —Being an exhibitor at. the Hamilton Show, I think that at the least any exhibitor should be treated with civility and allowed t,-» utilise the space that be has paid for to the best advantage. I also maintain that after an exhibitor has paid for his space the authorities have no right to make a dumping place of it, as they did with mine, and when I quietly spoke to (he secretary about it, this is what I got from him: "If you don't like it get out. get. out." At least 2ft nf my space was taken up by table tops and a cesspit made of the back. I was' not even nllowcd to erect my advertising to advantage on account of motor advertisements. Anyone looking for my exhibit would not expect to find me with a motor sign above me. Surely we are not, goiii": to be asked to pay for space to advertise another man's goods! If so if, is my last, as I am not. going where doles of this sort are served out. I will here ask one question: Who makes the show, the exhibitor or the playcard advertisement? What, would you call a show without an exhibit? Wake up and give us a little encouragement. Civility cosls nothing, end when any exhibitor pays for his space do not think that you have an equal or nvpre than an equal right to use that space for your own convenience without his sanction.—l am, etc., HY. PRESTON. We have referred the above matter to the secretary of the Show, ajd h»i explains that the exhibitor referred to had no right to erect his sign in the position in which he placed it. He was ilrst of all politely requested to remove same, but, said Mr Paul, "after my attention had been called to the matter several times by other exhibitors, 1 told him either to take the sign down or get out. Judging by the expressions of opinion conveyed to myself and my committee by exhibitors, tho treatment meted out to them compares more than favourably with any other show in the Dominion."
