SHOOTING AT RUAKURA. RESULTS OF YESTERDAY'S MATCH. The Hamilton Gun Club opened its annual open meeting at Ruakura yesterday, when two £25 matches were shot. There was a good attendance of shooters and spectators and a most enjoyable day was spent. No. 1. Shoot, 21 birds. 31 entries, resulted in Messrs E. R. King (Waihi), D. Fraser (To Kuiti), North (Whangarei), Clench Jr. (Huntly), Lloyd (Waihi), Loughlin (Hamilton), and Thornton (Thames), shooting the possible and dividing the prize money. They were closely followed by Messrs C. Seddon, Rofe (Marton), Greaves (Otorohanga), McCready (Otorohanga), Pollard (Waihi), and G. Peach with 20. I No. 2 Shoot, 21 birds, 27 entries, was won by Messrs Semmens (Tanealua), MeMikcn). Loughlin (Hamilton), McCready (Otorohanga), and Thornton (Thames) with the possible. The shooters with 20 were C. Seddon, Rofe, Amundsen, Greaves, Tisdale, Pollard, Bcdois, G. Peach, Stevenson. The quail drive, 17 entries, G birds, was won by E. R. King and C. Seddon, with the possible, J. Amundsen and; G. Peach, with 5, being equal for third. The features of the day's shooting were the all-round good performances, no shooter getting less Hum 15 in a match, and the performances of Messrs Thornton and Loughlin shooting the possible in each shoot, each getting 42 without a miss. To-day a £IOO match is being shot for.
