WEDDING.

HANNA—-CIVIL. St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Te Awamutu, was the scene of a very pretty wedding on Wednesday last, in the presence of a largo number of well-wishers and friends of the contracting parties. The Itcv. W. Butterworth ofllciatcd. The bride was Miss Betty Civil, second daughter of Mr and Mrs J. W. Civil, of Te Awamutu, and the bridegroom, Mr Alexander Raima, of Mr and Mrs W. Hanna, of Te *Jawhal. The church had been prettily decorated with iloral emblems of good wishes by girl friends of the bride, and Mrs F. Gibson officiated at the organ..

The bride, looking exceedingly winsome, was attired in ivory georgette, trimmed with pink and silver, with a train of honiton lace over pale pink. She wore a handsome embroidered veil of pink tulle, joined to a coronet of pink and silver, encircled with a wreath of orange blossoms. She carried a magnificent pink bouquet, with silver streamers. She was attended by her Iwo sisters, the Misses Muriel and Olive Civil, attired in apricot and green, daintly trimmed with gold; they also wore gold brocade shoes, and carried wreaths of golden chrysanthemums and mauve asters, with tulle bows to match. Little Mies Shirley Payze, a niece of the bride, was imsver girl, dressed in a sweet frock of palest pink georgette over crepe de chine, petalled with godeLs and pink Valenciennes lace. Mr Cyril Storey, of Te Kauwhata, attended as best man, while Mr S. Gordon, of Gordonton, carried out the duties of groomsman.

After the ceremony the happy couple were showered with confclli and good wishes, and the bridal parly repaired to the home of Ihe bride's parents, where the wedding breakfast was partaken of and the customary toasts honoured, Mr and Mrs Hanna being warmly felicitated. The bride's gift to the bridegroom was a cameo ring, and from the bridegroom Hie bride received a set of brushes. The bridegroom presented the bridesmaids with a dress ring and a silver trinket ease, while the wee flower girl received a silver cup. Later in the day Mr and Mrs Hanna left on Iheir honeymoon, proceeding northward. They will make their home in the Te Awamutu district.
