AUSTRALIAN STRIKE.
COLLIERY TROUBLE. TESTING AN AWARD. CASE FOR THE HIGH COURT. (Ileutcr.'i SYDNEY, June 7. The Federal executive of the Enginedrivcrs and Firemen's Association has decided lo have nothing more to do with the Coal Tribunal. The executive states thai it will shortly take proceedings in the High Court to test the validity of the nibble award. Several mills at the Broken Hill Proprietary steel works have been closed owing to the strike. This has rendered idle 500 employees.
Supplies of coal for other parts of the works, where 3000 workers are employed, .will last only another fortnight.
