" ROLL-DOWNS."
NO LICENSES IN CHRISTCHURCH. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CIIRISTCIIunCII, Monday. The City Council 10-night received a petition from .'lO confectioners asking that no more, licenses be granted to " roll down " parlours. During the discussion it transpired that one parlour had been open in the city for a fortnight unknown to the By-laws Committee. It was decided to cancel Ihc permit for that proprietor immediately, and to grant no more licenses.
