AUSTRALIAN CRICKETERS.
WILL WARM THEM UP SATURDAY. STRENUOUS TRAVELLING. (Reuter.) (Received June 7, 11.15 a.m.) LONDON, June 6. “We arc having a bad time now, but wo will warm them up next Saturday.” was tiic comment of the Australians while wickets were falling at Bradford. Nevertheless Hie collapse is surprising. The wicket was good and there were no star bowlers. The Australians’ failure on successive days has set Ihe critics going. The discoveries of new howlers are becoming - common. Saturday’s bowling was well harked by keen fielding. The coal strike is causing travelling difficulties. The 'icam spent five hours instead of three in gctling to Bradford. The last nine miles were completed in a char-a-banc, thereby saving further time. The team did not retire until one o'clock on Sunday morning.
They drew stumps at four in order to allow ttie team to go to Sutherland. The players arc well, hut the travelling lias ti’-cd them.
