NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Central Electric Power Board proposes to raise a Special Loan under the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and its Ameiidcmcnls. The purpose for which the Loan is required is for the construction of electric works and the construction and erection of transmission lines, transformer stations, and all fittings and appliances for conveying, transmitting and distributing electricity in the special area defined hereunder, including the purchase of all necessary land, materials, plant and tools, and all payments for labour, engineer’s fees, plans and supervision, and for compensation to owners of property in respect of such works, and for purchase of land and erection of administrative buildings thereon. The sum proposed to be borrowed is £65,000. The proposed security for the Loan is a Special Rate of one farthing in the pound on the capital value of all rateable property in those portions of the Gcnlral Electric Power District as defined by Ordcrs-in-Council appearing in the New Zealand Gazette on the Sth day of July, 1920, 7th day of September, 1922, in as much as refers to the Borough of N'garuowahia only, oth day of March, 1924, 7th day of August, 1924, respectively (being the original area of the Central Electric Power District, together with the Ilunlly Riding of the County of Waikato, the Iluntly Town District and 11 le Ngaruawahia Borough!. It is proposed that the Loan shall be repayable within a period not exceeding Thirty-six and half years, and to make provision for a sinking fund of not less than One per centum per

annum. It is proposed to pay out of the Loan the preliminary expenses incurred in connection with the scheme for which the Loan is raised, also the cost of raising the Loan and the- interest and sinking fund for the first year. , , .
