AUSTRALIAN MINING.
A RECORD YEAR. SMALLER OUTPUT OF COAL. (United Press Association.) (Received June 5, 11.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, June 5. The annual report of the Depart-* ment of Mines for 1925 shows the output for the year was valued at £19,109.000, constituting a record, being £456,000 in excess of 1924. The silver contributed chiefly to this result ,their yield amounting to £0,343,000, an increase of £736,000 over the previous year. The coal won amounted' to 11,396,000 tons, valued at £9,302,000, representing 222,000 tons and £287,000 in value less than in 1924.
