CRESTED DOG’S TAIL AND SHEEP. “Novice.” Okoroire, asks whether It is an advantage, or otherwise, to have crested dog’s tail in a sheep pasture. He says that it throws very little feed. “Practical." —It is a bottom grass and associated with cocksfoot and clovers, especially white clover; it helps to form a close sward, which Is a good thing. Moreover, sheep run on country where crested dog’s tail does well, are usually fairly healthy. This applies more particularly to rolling or hill country.
