DELIGHTFUL DANCE.

H.S. OLD GIRLS’ FUNCTION. ENJOYABLE AND SUCCESSFUL. A delightful dance was given by Hie committee of ttie High School Old Girls’ Association on Friday last at Hie High School. The assembly hall looked iis best with festoons of many coloured streamers and balloons, while the stage was converted into a drawingroom for non-dancers. Mr and Mrs Ebon Wilson acted as host and hostess, and did everything possible Lo make the evening the enjoyable and successful function it was. The supper room was festively decorated with bowls of hydranga and autumn foliage, while the supper dainties looked very inviting amid masses of autumn tinted flowers and asparagus fern, artistically arranged in the silver cups and trophies of the school, kindly lent by Mr Wilson for the occasion. Crawford's orchestra supplied Hie music and all too soon the hour for home-going arrived. Mrs Wilson received her guests in a handsome black georgette gown, Will trimmings of silver.
