FORD MOTORS.
A PROFITABLE CONCERN. NEW YORK, June 2. The briefs which have been filed in a suit at Detroit against tho Ford 'Motor Company give the net profits of the concern officially as more than 1:105,200,000 between 1917 and 191-1. In that period 1922 was the best year, the profit then made being more than £23,000.000. The company’s balance-sheet shows that its gross annual business amounts to £200,00u,000, and that it has been carried on without the use of borrowed money except for a single mortgage item of £29,000. The members of the family own at; tile shares in the company, namely 1 7,000. Last year they drew dividends of £lO9 per share as against £l3l in 1922.
