BUNGALOW DESTROYED.
FIRE ON WHATAWHATA ROAD. OWNER LOSES EVERYTHING. A Are on the Whatawhata Road | totally destroyed a four-roomed bun- j galow and all its contents between 2 ' and 3 p.m. yesterday. The owner, Mr B. Cooper-Smith, had left for Hamil- . ton, and while on the road to town was informed that his house was on fire. He dashed back in his car, but was too late to save anything. 11 is understood that the loss, 0£ most of it, is covered by insurance. The fire brigade was summoned, and was unable to find water in the vicinity,but managed lo save a nearby two- ; roomed dwelling by means of its first-; aid lire extinguishing apparatus. a{
