— + —— “KITCHEN” EVENING. Last Wednesday a "Kitchen Evening” was given in honour of Miss Mathers,' who is shortly to he married to Mr Wright Fulton, of Walton. As Miss Mathers lias spent all her life in To Kowliai, and is deservedly popu- | lar, the hall was crowded to its ul- j most capacity. The main part of the 1 evening was spent in progressive euchre. Uu; winners being Miss Cot- j 1 1 . r and S'fr S. Handley. Mr C. A. Magncr spoke eulogistic- | nllv of the fine qualities of the guest of the evening, and requested her acceptance of the miscellaneous and valuable collection of articles tor the new kitchen. Mr Fulton thanked the. donors for their gift. Musical honours were then given for the young couple, and the remainder of the evening was spent in dancing.
