Local industry should always be encouraged and supported, and it will be to the interests of the primary producers of New Zealand to bear this fact in mind, and extend the same support to manufacturers of good farm implements. Messrs Evans, Hooper and Co., of Federal Street, Auckland, are manufacturers of lime and manure distributors and several different types of harrows, including tines, discs, chain and tripod. The popular star-feed machine is made of the best materials and workmanship. It is Ihe lightest draught of any machine of its size, and the long axle riming right through the hopper is of 1 Ain. cold rolled steel, thereby preventing any possibility of sagging. Another special feature is tiie driving shafts, which gives extra strength to (lie driving pinions. The Evans Ilall'-tripod and Halfchain harrows arc also very useful implements, they are made in various widths, and arc complete with drag weights and draw bar.
