NOTICE is hereby given that the Central Electric Power Board proposes to raise a special loan under the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1913 and its amendments. The purpose for which the loan is required is for the construction and erection of transmission lines transformer stations and other titlings and appliances for conveying transmitting- or distributing electricity in the Karam'uPirongia Special Rating Area including the purchase of all necessary land materials plant and tools and all payments for labour engineer’s fees plans 'and supervision and for compensation to owners of property in respect of such works. The sum proposed to be borrowed is £SOOO. The proposed security for loan is a special rale of three farthings in tlie pound on the rateable capital vaiue of all rateable property in the Karamu-Pirongia Special Rating Area being the area defined by Order-in-(Jouncil appearing in the New Zealand Gazette of 3rd December 1925, as included in the Central Electric Power District. It is proposed that the loan shall be repayable Within a period not exceeding Thirty-six and a half years and to make provision for a sinking fund of not less than One per centum per annum. It is proposed to pay out of the loan the preliminary expenses incurred in connection with the scheme for which the loan is raised, also the cost of raising the loan and the interest and sinking fund for the first year'.
