* FOOTBALLER AND ACTRESS. MISS MARIE NEY ENGAGED. (Australian and N.Z. Press As3n.) (Received June 2, 11.55 a.m.) LONDON, June 1. Miss Marie Ncy, the New Zealand actress is engaged to the All Black, Maurice Brownlie, who, seeing her photograph in New Zealand asked her brother for a letter of introduction. Marie Ncy was then playing at the Old Vic. Theatre. Miss Ney, whose real name is Fex, is a Wellington girl. After successful appearances in Wellington amateur productions she toured New Zealand with Marie Tempest, Subsequently going to England she won success on the London stage. News by last mail stated that Miss Ncy was playing a leading part in “The Rescue Party.” at the Comedy Theatre, London. She also appeared recently In “Everyone Has His Fault,” an East London College production.
