NO WELCOME BY' LABOUR RELEGATED TO SCRAP HEAP, DIVISIVE INFLUENCE FEARED. (Recoived Juno 2, 11.45 a.m.) LONDON, Juno 1. The Daily Herald, referring to the rumoured possibility of Mr Lloyd George joining the Labour Party, says: “Labour represents something quite different from political expediency. An alliance with an unropentant and powerhungry Lloyd George, even if It brought momentarily increased votos, would bo treachery to our faith. Ho would split Labour as he split Liboraiism. Tho only place loft for him is tho political scrap heap, v/hcro lis and Lord Oxford could bicker together.”
