HAMILTON DOG SHOW
A GREAT DISPLAY. \ > THE KENNEL CLUB'S EXHIBITION. excellent quality on view. Although the Hamilton Kennel Club was formed only a few years ago, such rapid progress has it made that the inslilntion is probably the strongest of its kind in New Zealand today. Always to the fore in any branch of endeavour, Hamilton can claim an enviable position in the strength of its dog fanciers. To-day the Club is holding its sixth annual dog show and those who love and admire man’s best friend should not fail to pay it a visit. Some or the finest canines in the Dominion are on exhibition. The entries are not quite so good as last year's. It is, however, quality lhat counts, and this is represented in plenty, there lining a very large number of high-class and well-bred animals. Practically every known breed is on show, while the bull dog section is a particularly strong one, and one of the finest displays of this type of canine one could wish to see. Fox terriers, cocker spaniels, collies, and pomcranians make a splendid showing. The arrangements made by an energetic executive headed by the president, Mr William Everest, and the secretary, Mr Percy F. Field, are responsible for everything being in excellent working order. The judges are:—Bulldogs and toys: Mr Pascoe of Auckland; sporting and terriers: Mr K. Sainsbury of Auckland. The location of the Show is_ in Ward Street, opposite the Winter Show, the entrance being a few yards past the railway station entrance. It will be continued this evening and close finally 10-mcrrow evening. Cocker Spaniels (black).
