WEDDING.

McEWIN—WIGG. A quiet but pretty wedding was solemnised aL St. Stephen's Gluirch, Jervios Road, Ponsonby, on April 28, by tlie Rev. Barlram, when Christine Gillette, only daughter of Mr and Mrs G. Wigg, of Ilearne Bay. was married to Leonard Clarence, only son of Mrs McEwin, of Mt. Eden. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in a frock of cyclamen crepe do chine, embroidered in silver, panels being draped at the sides with posies of pastel shades and silver lace. A scarf of cyclamen tulle hung from the shoulders and was clasped with a diamonlc buckle. Her hat was of cyclamen and pink, and she carried a pretty bouquet of asters, carnations, maidenhair and asparagus fern. Mrs E. Evans (sister of bridegroom) attended as matron of honour, and wore a dainty frock of shell pink georgette, beaded in white and silver, and a black panne velvet hat. relieved with mauve and pink (lowers and velvet streamers. She carried a bouquet of mauve and pink chrysanthemums. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Roy Smyllic as best man.

After the wedding a reception was held at the residence of the bride's mother, when the usual toasts were honoured, and numerous telegrams of congratulations read. The room and tables were prettily decorated .in cyclamen and pink, a large wedding bell hanging over the bridal party. The happy couple left on a short wedding tour later in Iho evening, the bride wearing a cosy frock of cinnamon jersey cloth with a bat to match.
