A high pressure system covers the Dominion, giving indications of fair weather during the next <iS hours, with light southerly winds, later from north, with overcast conditions following. Yesterday was fair with light southerly winds. Mean temperature 45.5 degrees. The Weather Bureau wires for 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day:—-The indications arc for easterly moderate to strong winds and freshening. The weather will probably prove cold and showery. The night will probably prove very cold, with heavy frosts inland. Barometer little movement, but falling shortly.
