SUTTON'S AGRICULTURAL SEEDS.

SPECIALLY SUITED FOR N.Z. INSPECT TIIEM AT THE SHOW. As the visitor immediately enters the main annexe at this year's display by the Waikato Winter Show Association, attention is instantly attracted by the fine display of Sutton's agricultural flower seeds and vegetables on a stand adjoining the Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Coy's display. In the pages of the agricultural history of New Zealand the boon that Sutton's seeds have been to the country must take an outstanding place. This is applicable to their wonderful propagation in all districts and under varying climatic conditions. No effort has' been spared by Sutton and Sons during their long and honourable period of trading in New Zealand to maintain the very high standard achieved in their pedigree strains of farm roots, etc., and each succeeding year witnesses a marked increase in the number of their customers. It is undeniable that this increase is due lo a material extent, to the vastly superior character of the crops obtained by regular users of Sutton's seeds. The efficacy of Sutton's seeds is guaranteed through the modern methods the firm employs at their plant-breeding and research station at Heading (England) in the raising or new types of farm roots and in maintaining and improving the character of existing strains. An expert staff is engaged in such important operations 'as hybridising and the subsequent cultivation of the resultant plants as well as in "selecting" roots of existing varieties which show any marked superiority of character. Connected with the station is an up-to-date laboratory fitted with suitable apparatus for determining the feeding value of roots, etc.

By continued selection, year after year, Sutton and Sons have been able to build up the superb strain of roots which have won the highest honours for their house year after year. In the different varieties of Sutton's mangolds, swedes, root seeds, white turnips, yellow turnips, rape, carrots, cabbages, kale, grass and clover seeds, seeds for golf courses, lawns, bowling greens and pleasure turf of all kinds, vegetable and flower seeds, etc., as are to be seen in the linn's stand at the Show, a guarantee is given of analytical purity and high germination. Farmers are, advised to make a particular point of visiting the stand of Sutton and Sons during Show Week.
