VTOTJCE is hereby given that the Cenfral Electric Power Board proposes to raise a special loan under the provisions of Hie Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1913 and ils amendments. The purpose for which the loan is required is for the construction and erection of transmission lines transformer stations and oilier Citings and appliances for conveying transmilling or distributing electricity in the KararnuPirongia Special Rating Area including the purchase of all necessary land materials plant and tools and all payments for labour engineer’s fees plans and supervision and for compensation to owners of property in respect of sucli works. Tlic sum proposed to be borrowed is £SOOO. The proposed security for loan is a special rate of three farthings in (lie pound on the rateable capital value of all rateable property in the Karamu-Pirongia Special Rating Area being Hie area defined by Ordcr-in-Couneil appearing in the New Zealand Gazette of 3rd December 1925, as included in the Central Electric Power District. It is proposed that the loan shall be repayable within a period n.ol exceeding Thirty-six and a half years and lo make' provision for a sinking fund of not less than One per centum per annum. It is proposed to pay out of the loan the preliminary expenses incurred in connection with the scheme for which the loan is raised, also tiic cost of raising the loan and the interest and sinking fund for Hie first year.
