TN PURUSANCE of the provisions of “ The Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1913 ” and its amendments I HEREBY GIVE PUBLIC NOTICE that a Poll of the Ratepayers of the Central Electric Power Board’s Special Rating Area, being those portions of the Central Electric Power District as defined by Orders-in-Council appearing in the New Zealand Gazette of Sill day of July 1920, 7th clay of September 1922, inasmuch as refers to the Borough of Xgaruawahia only, Cth day of March 1924, and 7lh day of August 1924, respectively, upon the above proposal will be taken at the following places, which arc specially appointed as polling booths, at which may be recorded the votes of ratepayers irrespective of the location of the rateable property in respect of which they arc entitled to vote, namely— Whalawhata llall, Whatawhata. VTOTJCE is hereby given that the Cenfral Electric Power Board proposes to raise a special loan under the provisions of Hie Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1913 and ils amendments. The purpose for which the loan is required is for the construction and erection of transmission lines transformer stations and oilier Citings and appliances for conveying transmilling or distributing electricity in the KararnuPirongia Special Rating Area including the purchase of all necessary land materials plant and tools and all payments for labour engineer’s fees plans and supervision and for compensation to owners of property in respect of sucli works. Tlic sum proposed to be borrowed is £SOOO. The proposed security for loan is a special rate of three farthings in (lie pound on the rateable capital value of all rateable property in the Karamu-Pirongia Special Rating Area being Hie area defined by Ordcr-in-Couneil appearing in the New Zealand Gazette of 3rd December 1925, as included in the Central Electric Power District. It is proposed that the loan shall be repayable within a period n.ol exceeding Thirty-six and a half years and lo make' provision for a sinking fund of not less than One per centum per annum. It is proposed to pay out of the loan the preliminary expenses incurred in connection with the scheme for which the loan is raised, also tiic cost of raising the loan and the interest and sinking fund for Hie first year.
