JERVOIS' HANDICAP DIVISION. The large number of acceptors received for the Jervois Handicap at the Auckland Winter Meeting on Thursday necessitates a division of the field. The event will be run as two separate, races, Ihe totalisator operating separately fin- each event. The respective lields are arranged as follows:

It is announced that the order of the programme on the opening day will he as follows: —First Division, .Tervois Handicap; Green Lane Steeplechase; Second Division Jervois Handicap; Penrose Hurdle Itaee, Great Northern Hurdle I'ace, Cornwall Handicap: Hunt Club Hurdle Race, Members' Handicap. Yesterday he showed signs of improvement and was putting more weight on the leg than on the previous day. His ownertrainer, \V.
