CALEDONIAN SOCIETY.
SOCIAL AND DANCE. A most enjoyable social and dance was held in the Winter Show Halt on Saturday evening last hy the local Caledonian Society. The concert programme, which was arranged by Mr H. Blackie, proved most enjoyable, every artist being encored. Songs were rendered by Messrs W. Fenton and Fricker, Mrs Klvcry, and little Miss Harris; dances bv Misses G. Dcnz (Irish Jig), Bubbles Taylor (Highland Fling), Beryl King (Irish Hornpipe), and Myrtle Goodwin (Sailors’ Hornpipe); while a song and dance Duo. "I Miss My Swiss,” was nicely rendered by Misses j. Edwards and L. Edmonds. Miss Mav Clothier played the accompaniments artistically for the singers and Pipe-Major S. Clothier for dances. After supper had been served by the ladies’ committee, Mr A. McLachlan’s orchestra played for the “old-time” dances which were much enjoved by all present. The social was one of the most successful the Caledonian Society lias held.
