THE PASSENGER TRAFFIC. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) . WELLINGTON, Friday. Although the passenger traffic on the railways shows a decrease of 600,000, season tickets exhibit an increase of ii.OOO and the new trip bearer tickets introduced lnsl August were sold to the number of 29,000. 1: is reckoned Hie two would account for nearly 1,500,000 passengers. The trip bearer tickets, which may he passed from hand to hand, arc becoming very popular on suburban lines.
