WEDDINGS.

KORSUP—WoLEAY. A night wedding, pretty in every detail, was celebrated at St. James' Presbyterian Church, Wailii, on Monday evening, when Miss Winifred Esma, only daughter of Mr adn Mrs E . A. McLcay, of Seddon Street, Waihi, was united in matrimony to Mr Olive Calvin, second son of Mrs A. Ilorsup, of New Plymouth. The churchy was decorated with flowers and greenery by friends of the bride, and Miss M. Armour presided at the organ. The officiating minister was the Rev. J. D. MacFarlane, and the popularity of the event was manifested by the very large number present. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of Jier father, looked charming in a beautiful flared frock or cloth of silver and cyclamen French crepe dc chine, white veil embroidered in cyclamen and a coronet of silvcr'buds and cyclamen leaves. Her shower bouquet was of delicate shades of pink roses and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaids, Miss E. Watson, of Auckland, and Miss E. Origg, of Hamilton, wore silver leaf coronets, dainty frocks of night lavender crepe de chine, Irimmed with silver trellis insertion, and carried bouquets of pink dahlias, lemon marigolds and maidenhair fern. Mr W. Brown, Of New Plymouth, was best man, and Mr E. McLcay (brother of the bride) groomsman. The bridegroom's gift to the bride was a handsome choker fur, and to • each bridesmaid a string of pearls and a signet ring. At the close of the ceremony over 70 guests were enlcrlained by the bride's parents at the Foresters' Hall, which was tastefully decorated for the occasion with flowers, palms and lavender streamers. Mrs E. McLeay (mother of the bride) wore a smart, frock of black satin figured marocain relieved with autumn shades, a black hat, and had a posy of scarlet and green, while Mrs Ilorsup (mother of the bridegroom) was in a becoming dress of cyclamen marocain, with black hat. Her posy was of autunfa shades of zinnias. A sumptious feast was spread, and the customary toasts were duly honoured. Afterwards a dance was held, the music for which was supplied by Misses Armour and Grigg and Mrs Mcßae, while songs were rendered by Mrs Dalbeth, Miss E. Watson and Mr E. Trembatli. Just before midnight the young couple left by motor for Auckland en route to the Waitomo Caves, where the honeymoon is to be spent, the bride travelling in a Parisiennc model of henna marocain, smart black hat, and flared coat of cinnamon woollen repp. Mr and Mrs Horsup were the recipients of many valuable prcscnls, including several .cheques. They will make their future home in New Plymouth, and they carry with them the good wishes of a large circle |Of friends. SMITH—MACKY. A wedding which created unusual interest was solemnised in the "Patcrangi Presbyterian Church last Wednesday afternoon, when Miss Annie Macky, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs W. G. Macky (greatly esteemed residents of over 00 years in the district), was united in the bonds of holy wedlock to Mr Sidney Smith, eldest son of Mrs and the late Mr James Smith, of Paterangi, and formerly of Aberdeen, Scotland. Visitors were present from all the surrounding districts. The church was artistically decorated with beautiful white flowers and greenery, a huge wedding bell completing Hie arrangements. A number of school boys formed a guard of honour from the. gale to the church door. The Rev. A. Bardie was the officiating minister, and Miss Bowman presided at the organ. The service was semi-choral. The bride, who entered the churcli on the arm of her father, looked very .winsome in her beautiful bridal gown of white satin with pearl trimmings, wearing a handsome embroidered net veil, surmounted by a coronet of orange blossoms, and carrying a sheaf of white dahlias and asparagus fern. The bridesmaid, Miss Eileen Macky, sister of the bride, wore a charming frock of lavender crepe de chine with silver trimmings and accessories, and a black hat. She carried a bouquet of pink roses, asters and maidenhair fern, and wore a gold armlet (the gift of'the bridegroom). Two bewitching, little flower girls were Miss Molly Mack? (cousin), in pink crepe de chine with blue rose trimmings, and Miss Nancy Symes (niece of the bridegroom), in blue organdie muslin with pink rose trimmings. Both carried baskets of flowers, and wore silver necklets, the gifts of the bridegroom. Mr Balph Smith (brother of the bridegroom) was Hie best man. The bride's mother wore a pretty frock of pale green crepe de chine and fawn hat, and carried a bouquet of mauve asters.

The reception was held at the residence of the bride's parents. The wedding presents, including several cheques, were both numerous and cosily. The happy couple motored to Hamilton on the first slage of their honeymoon journey, followed by showers of confetti and good wishes. The bride travelled m a cinnamon rep coat frock and brown hat.

German, cream and ochre jersey silk frock; Mrs Hardie, kingfisher blue silk marocain; Mrs Allan Brown, red fuji silk; Miss Alice Smilh, almond' green crepe de chine; Miss Eva Smith, brick red coat frock; Miss S. Scott (Auckland), dove grey wool marocain; Miss McMillan (Auckland), navy blue figured silk; Miss R Mackv (Auckland), navy serge coat frock: Miss Hazel Macky, cream garhadine pinaioro frock; Miss Mavis Mackv azure blue crepe do chine; Miss A.
