THE PRINCE OF WALES.
ACCIDENT IN HUNTING FIELD. HOW THE MISHAP OCCURRED. LONDON, January 29. The mishap to .the Prince of Wales occurred in open country near. Little Shelton. The hounds were going at a great pace and a large field was following them. The Prince took a difficult hedge flanked by two ditches. His .horse cleared the obstacle but stumbled and fell. His Royal rider was assisted immediately by several of the followers and conveyed in a motor-car to a local surgery whore he was treated. The fractured collarbone was set and on being examined by the X-rays the break proved to be a .perfectly clean and simple one with not complications. A rapid and complete recovery is confidently expected. The Prince looked cheerful and well on his subsequent arrival in London. He assured those who welcomed him at the station that he was perfectly all right. It is officially reported that the accident is not likely to interfere with the Prince's engagements. It was reported earlier in the day that a horse which the Prince was riding dropped dead beneath him, but the Prince was not injured. LATER PROGRESSING SATISFACTORILY. (Received January 30, 12.30 p.m.) LONDON, January 29. It is officially learned that the Prince of Wales passed a good Dight, and is progressing satisfactorily.
