GERMANY'S TRADE.
FIGURES FOR HALF-YEAR. Germany's imports, as classified for tbc first half of the current year, during which period they showed an increase of 1,348,100,000 marks over the same period in 1924, show that the increase ocourred mainly in importations from other countries in Europe, which rose 1,010,900,000 marks, and from America, from which continent Germany bought 907,000,000 more than the year before. Despite the great increase in the import surplus, exports during the half year aiso increased 1,304,800,000 marks, the Increase in exports to other European countries being 1,023,800,000, and to America 35,700,000. Imports from England during the half year increased 129,800,000, but exports to England from Germany increased also from Italy increased 177,000,000 marks, but exports to Italy increased 62,200,000. . From Holland Germany in.ported during the period 173,900, GOO marks more than in 1924, but her exports to Holland increased 19 i,500,000. The changes in trade with the United States were in many respects the most striking of all, the half-year's increase of German imports from this country amounting to 758,400,000 marks, while her exports to the United States increased only 56,400,000.
