EVENTS FOR DECEMBER 5. On Saturday, December 5 the Taumarunui Racing Club will dispense its programme, which promises to bo supported by several runners from this portion of tho province. The principal distance event, the Taumarunui Cup Handicap, of ono mile and a-quartcr, is worth £2lO and a silver cup valued at £2O. The Rangaroa Flying Handicap (£110), of six furlongs, will cater for the sprint horses. There are a Hack Hurdles (£9O), one mile and a-half Trial Plate (£80), six furlongs; Matierc Hack Handicap (£BS), six furlongs; Matapuna Rack Handicap (£BS), flvefuriongs; Owhango Hack Handicap (£9O), seven furlongs, and Kakahi Open Handicap (£100), one mile.
