SOCIAL EVENING.
FUNDS FOR GIRLS’ COLLEGE. A large number of. senior and junior pupils of St. Andrew’s Bible classes, together with many friends, assembled at the schoolroom last evening, when an enjoyable evening was spent. The social was arranged by the girls, and had as its object the raising of funds towards the rebuilding of the Turakina Girls’ College. Nothing was lacking in the way of sociability or hospitality, and. the boys and girls mingled on the most delightful terms. Games and competitions were indulged in, and an entertaining musical programme provided. Those who contributed Items were: Recitations, Misses Ryder and Brown; dance, Miss M. Goodwin; songs, Miss M. Miller, Mr F. Mason; pianoforte solo, Miss L. Hayes; vocal duet, Mr and Mrs F. Mason.
