Williams, the popular basso; Miss Dulcie Evans and Mr Jos. Battersby, duettists. The plan is now open &t Paul's.

ROYAL AND FRANKTON'S £WN.

Two great pictures will be showa at the Royal and Frankton Theatres to-night. Something of the speedy action in "In Fast Company" can be imagined from the fact that persons who have seen it call it "a serial in feature length." That is a true description, although it contains none of the hokum which usually prevails in chapter pictures. Every stunt performed by Richard Talmadge, star of the Truart production, is possible in real life In other words, the situations are not forced, but legitimate. But it is the speed with which the plot moves and the fact that Talmadge performs so many daring' thrills that caused those who witnessed it to credit it with being a feature-length picture with serial value. But unlike a serial picture, it is crammed full of comedy. Its fast thrills and comedy are so interwoven that absorbing interest starts with the first scene and keeps up to the. very finish. Good supporting pictures include "Love of Women," featuring the beautiful Helen Chadwick. 'Seats may be reserved at Paul's Book Arcade, or by Theatre 'phone 1422.

CARLTON MAX AND PICTURES. Heralded with the greatest of prcs« notices, Carlton Max, known throughout England, Australia and New Zealand as'thc prince of the world's ventriloquists, will open to-night for a season of three nights. Carlton Max will appeal to young and old. He creates no end of fun with his little dell Jerry in the new act, "The Hospital." Frank Lloyd, whose "The Sea Hawk" will long cling to our memory, proves himself a rare artist in the development of the action of "Her Husband's Secret." his latest, First National picture. The thrilling climax to the picture makes one's blood fairly turn cold, vet the romance of the, two couples involved is so delicately handled that the reviewer feels like an intruder as the scenes in the garden and at the fireside flicker past. Indeed, "Her Husband's Secret", is no ordinar'v entertainment —it is in the class with the best. Antonio Moreno plavs Owen Elliot, a young bank clerk, li perfection. Patsy Ruth Miller plays Judv, the girl who saves him. Excellent* supporting pictures complete a fine entertainment, Plan at Lewis R. Eady and Son, Ltd., or by Theatr* phone 1422.
