Commander Eustace Maude, R.N., aged 77. who commenced a voyage to England in a 25-feet sloop on May 1. has arrived at Victoria, British Columbia, en route for the open sea, with Panama as his next port nf call.
lie will not sight land until ho' readies the Canal. Ind lias provisions for' 100 days and expects to make the Canal in 60 ''nys. He has 50 gallons of water, ~-id the same quantity of gasoline aboard.
His vessel is the Half Moon, which lias a five-horse-power engine.
