NEW PREMIER'S STATEMENT.

WILL RESPECT ENGAGEMENTS

FRIENDSHIP WITH BRITAIN

(Router.) Received December 1, 9.45 a.m

CAIRO, November 30

A telegram from Constantinople states that in the Assembly the Premier, Fcthi Bey, outlining the new Government's programme, said it was determined to maintain an army strong enough to ensure the security and integrity of Turkey's frontier. It was intended to respect all engagements entered into by the previous Governments. He was anxiously awaiting an equitable solution of the Mosul frontier question, which was in the hands of the League of Nations, as this is the only obstacle to a resumption of the traditional friendship of Turkey with Britain.

The Chamber unanimously passed a vote of confidence in the new Government.
