NEW ZEALAND RAILWAYS.

THE NEW TIME-TABLE. Some indication of the time-table for the limited express servloe between Auckland and Wellington can now be given, although arrangements have not yet been finalised. It is expected that the limited will leave Auckland at 7.10 in the evening, arriving at Wellington. 14 hdurs 25 minutes later, at 9.35 a.m. A corresponding time-table will be observed from Wellington to Auckland. The limited will thus take 34 hours* less than the present express, and will stop at only Bix stations —Frankton, Taumarunui Ohakunc, Taihape, Marton, and Palmerston North. The timetable will be put in operation next month, although the inaugural date has yet to be fixed. Tho limited will not stop at many intermediate stations at present served by the express, and this' gap it Is proposed to fill by starting an express from Auckland at 7.55 a.m., reaching Wellington about 16 hours later. This would be two hours better than tho time of the present express. Probably a similar express will run daily from the Wellington end. This arrangement will give two fast trains daily out of Auckland and Wellington, morning and evening, and arriving at their opposite destinations night and morning.
