AFTER THE PARTY.
In these days of relaxed conventions not many people pay the formal call after being entertained, which was once as usual as the written acceptance, beforehand. But because formalities have waned we should not forget our manners. Young girls especially need to be reminded that they must not fake their kind hostesses for granted. Giving a dance or a parly is hard work, even H if is also huge fun. Guests can show their appreciation of this fact in many graceful little ways, a gift of flowers, a note, even a sentence over the telephone, may convey gratitude I'm- a happy time quite satisfactorily. Or a few girls may go together to thank their hostess. If. they do not know tier very well, they must trust to rightly chosen words lo express Iheir appreciation. If she is an old friend the chances are thai she will be hugged round Ihe neck. But Whatever you do, don'l lake your good time and go away and behave exactly as though you had forgotten it.
Coffee -.-rounds, like tea leaves, may be sprinkled on the floor to prevent dust- rising while sweeping.
