FUN FOR YOUNG AND OLD.

THE POPULAR MERRY-GO-ROUND. The amusement park this year at the Waikato Winter Show is well lillod, and it is safe to say that the most popular _v'. t action is that of Lethaby's Merry-go-round. Hero She youngsters are able to enjoy the thrills of motoring or riding the galloping 'horse, and other weird animals which are provided for the elation of young and old. It is interesting to halt for a few moments by this beautifully appointed machine and study the expressions first of the youngsters, who are enjoying every minute of the show, then the fond parents who are wondering what acrobatic feats some of the more daring boys will attempt. Again, one sees a young father, holding a healthy.baby boy, and whilst giving the kiddie a good- time is ' trying to hide 'his own embarrassment. But after all we are all just big children, and it is delightful ito'be able to let ourselves go, and get back to the joys of childhood. The Winter Show Week gives us this opportunity, and for the past few days hundreds of amusement seeking fathers and mothers have been forgetting their worries and troubles, and have joined with the younger generation in par raking of the excellent sport offered by Mr Lethaby on his excellent mechanical merry-go-round. 804
