RESCUE BY CHANCE.
A nine-year-old boy.. Harry Love, of Selby, Yorkshire, who fell into 20 feet of' water in a canal lock, was saved by a strange chance. Mr Walter Kemp, a lock-keeper, seeing two girls and a boy running up the path, was under the impression they were going into his garden, and on going outside to watch them he saw air-bubbles coming up by the back wall. Lying flat, he thrust his hand in the water and felt something. Reaching a little further, he grabbed what he thought was a dog, hut proved to be the unconscious boy, Love.
