ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL.

SOUTH AUCKLAND ASSOCIATION. The management committee met on, Monday evening, Mr Arthur Downes being elected chairman for the year. Senior Fixtures Committee was appointed as follows: —Messrs Cox, Mawson, and Downes. Messrs Tombs, Lowe, and Binnie were appointed the Junior Fixtures Committee. Nominations from Huntly, Rotowaro, Pukemiro, Glen Massey, and Pukemiro Junction Athletic were received and accepted for affiliation. A protracted discussion ensued regarding the method of playing the Senior League matches, -it being finally decided that two divisions, a North and South, be played, the two leading teams of each division to play home and home matches to decide the championship. It was resolved that the Association give every support to the committee arranging the Hamilton Diamond, Jubilee celebrations on Saturday, May 31, by arranging a five-a-side tournament, the winning 1 team to receive gold medals, the rules foverning the competition to be left to the management committee to arrange. An extension of time until May 24 was granted to clubs to pay affiliation fees to the Association, but all players must be registered with the Asso_ cialion prior to playing in competition matches. Fixtures for Saturday, May 10, . were aranged as follows: — Seniors (Northern section) —Pukemiro v. Glen Massey; Rotowaro v. Pukemiro Junction Athletic; Huntly, a bye. Senior (Southern section) —Wanderers v. Piako United, Seddon Park, 1.30 p.m., referee Mr Wilde; Piako United Reserves v. Hamilton United; Wanderers Athletic, a bye. Juniors—Hamilton United Juniors v. Claudelands Rovers, 3 p.m., at Seddon Park, referee Mr Geo. Cox; Wanderers Juniors v. Huntly, at Claudciands Showgrounds, 1.30 p.m.; Hamilton Y.M.C.A., a bye.
